Windows OS | No Microphone When Connected to My Computer
Laurence V Harrould — Sep 05, 2014 11:27AM AEST
My BlueAnt Connect used to connect to my phone and Windows 7 Pro laptop at the same time and when starting would announce that there were 2 connections - the phone and the laptop.
The computer has lost its full connection. I'm getting sound through the Connect but the microphone isn't working. I've removed the device a number of times, done a reset and have also updated the firmware to v1.1 but it still doesn't detect the microphone.
What do I do to get it working again???

Before running any further tests, it is important to first find out whether if your microphone is still working or not.
You can do this by connecting your headset to your phone and then make an outgoing call.
If the other party can hear you, then the MIC is working fine, which also means that the problem is actually related to your laptop.
We suggest that you check the following settings on your laptop:
1. Windows Sound Settings – Goto Control Panel > SOUNDS > select the Recording tab
Then set the BlueAnt device option as the Default Communications Device.
2. If this has already been done, then go to the Application’s audio settings (e.g. Skype) and set the MIC audio to Bluetooth as well.
Please give these suggestions a go and let us know how you went.
