Answering an Incoming Call via Voice Commands

Tony — Sep 13, 2014 01:23PM AEST

When the phone rings and announce caller's name, one of the options to take the call is to say Answer or Ignore. Q3 do not respond when I say Answer or Ignore. I have to use second option like click Command button once. What I have to do? All other voice recognition options including Siri working perfectly

Hi Tony,

Thank you for your enquiry.

If all the other voice commands such as “Am I Connected”, “Check Battery”…etc, are working OK for you, then we can confirm that your microphone is working correctly. Here are a few suggestions that we recommend you should try.

1. Check the firmware version of your Q3 and ensure that it is updated to v1.41NB.

2. When saying “Answer” try pronouncing with 2 syllables. E.g. “An – Swer” with a loud and clear voice.

3. To eliminate any possibility of any 3rd party interferences, pair your Q3 with another phone and see if you can replicate the same issue.

These tests should be performed in a quiet environment to eliminate background noises.

Try this and let us know how you went.
