iPhone 6 | Is It Compatible With a Supertooth 3?

Alan Reid — Dec 02, 2014 04:05AM AEDT

I just got a new iPhone 6. I used my BlueAnt Supertooth 3 with my iPhone 4 without any problem. Tried to pair the 6 with my Supertooth and the phone cannot see the device. Are they compatible? Do I need a software update?

Hi Alan,

The Supertooth 3 is a discontinued product that were not firmware upgradeable. However, it should be able to pair and connect with the iPhone 6.

A similar question has been asked on a previous discussion with some tips on how to reset the Supertooth 3. Please refer to discussion link below and see if you can reset your device.

I just purchased an iPhone 6 and could not get it to pair with my Supertooth3. However, after following the reset procedure at https://blueant.desk.com/customer/portal/questions/9522465-supertooth-3-why-won-t-my-blueant-pair-with-iphone-4-, the iPhone 6 paired with the ST3 without issue. It also automatically imported all my contacts from the iPhone. It now works just fine. There is no need to modify any settings on your iPhone, it does it automatically.
